Assignment for Business Analyst position

 

Farmers in India are facing major challenges in terms of right market for their Produce such as selling the produce in timely manner with a minimum guaranteed price.  Indian Government is planning to launch an app to connect the buyer and Seller (Farmer) in order to create transparency. The goal of the software is to make sure the farmer can sell their goods from their Fields without visiting the Market. The marketing department will be owning the application. The Farmers can register the Crops he will be cultivating for next 3 months. On the other side, buyers can keep their demand (Tentative) and can offer the price (which is above minimum guaranteed price). The marketing departments will coordinate with the buyers and sellers in terms of any dispute. You can also think of direct consumer (May be bulk buyers like gated communities etc.)

In case of illiterate farmers, Panchayat will take care of the software handling on behalf of the Farmer.

The Goal of this software is to give a direct match platform to the Buyer and Seller. Marketing department will make sure minimum Price is guaranteed.

 

Expectations:

·        The scope is vast, we request you to attempt the software design with some assumptions. Make sure to mention the assumptions, so that the quality of these assumptions can be considered during the review of case study.

·        You need to develop screen layouts in HTML or in Word or in Excel.

·        Process flows in Flow chart/Vision or UML

·        Apply technology so that buyer and seller doesn’t require to have personal meetings in order to buy produce. State how the quality check can be done without visiting the farmer. (No limitation in terms of technology adoption. You can think of AI, ML or Google locations, etc.)

·        Dashboard to the Process Performance.
